Stockdick Junior High opened in 2017, introducing a new era of collaborative and individualized learning for the Katy Independent School District (Katy ISD). The school was designed from the ground up to embrace the newest trends and technologies in education, with an all-new architectural design that Assistant Principal Chris Bailey calls "the version 3.0 of education."
Cutting edge features allow the curriculum to be delivered in new and exciting ways, and six flexible-use spaces encourage students to collaborate with each other.
And Stockdick Junior High helps make the transition to high school easy, too. A common "learning green" is shared with neighboring Paetow High School, and the fine arts departments at the junior high and high school are aligned, with team teaching and collaborating on a daily basis.
In other words, school just got really cool.
