Newmark's Donley model reinvents the Craftsman cottage in a fresh new way
Showcasing a collection of homes priced from the $400Ks, Newmark’s Donley model in Elyson offers a fresh new vision of the classic Craftsman cottage style, with high ceilings and open living areas that bring the outdoors inside.
Natural wood trim is a hallmark of the Craftsman style, and Newmark replaces traditional dark stains with light finishes that enhance the daylight coming in through the generous expanses of windows.
One of 14 model homes now open in Elyson’s new Model Home Village, the Donley also offers a modern take on the Craftsman exterior, using a light, natural color palette for the farmhouse-style siding, brickwork, windows and other details.
The Donley greets you with a cozy foyer, featuring a modern classic staircase that blends light stained wood, metal railings and white risers. The landing has a textured accent wall of natural wood paneling – the first of many creative details you’ll see as you tour this model.
The family room has a house-shaped wall of windows that echoes the soaring outline of the two-story ceiling. The view extends past the extended covered patio to the private backyard.
On the opposite side of the family room, the balcony from the upstairs gameroom has light wood and metal trim that matches the staircase.
With crisp white upper cabinets and light-stained lower cabinets, the kitchen has an exceptional amount of counter space, and the large island adds even more.
Located on the main floor, the luxurious primary bedroom suite has tall ceilings with light wood beams, offering a feeling of heritage and solidity while remaining thoroughly modern.
