Ready to get your ‘80s groove on? A 1980s costume contest will be one of the highlights at Elyson’s next Movies on the Lawn event, free and open to the public.

On Friday, March 3, we’ll be screening “Despicable Me 3” on the event lawn at Elyson House.

The fun starts at 6.

Bring your blankets and chairs, and the free popcorn will be provided by Kingsland Baptist Church.

Starring 1980s child-star-turned-villain Balthazar Bratt, “Despicable Me 3” is the perfect movie for our ‘80s costume contest.

There will be separate categories for both kids’ and adults’ costumes, with the winner in each category receiving a retro-fabulous Polaroid camera and two Cinemark movie tickets. These prizes are provided by Chesmar Homes, one of Elyson’s 12 leading homebuilders.

This event is a great opportunity to meet some Elyson residents and discover Elyson’s active, neighborly lifestyle.

Throughout the year, Elyson has fun events and activities for residents of all ages, from Storytime for the little ones, to Baby Boot Camp stroller workouts for moms.
