David and Terri Youngblood met on their first day of work at Katy ISD in 1977, going on to each have a 40-year career in the district and raising three children who all work in Katy ISD. The district has recognized the Youngbloods’ contributions in administration, athletics, technology and more by naming its 45th elementary school in their honor. It opens at Elyson in August.
