Elyson opens Lakeside Landing, our newest major amenity

Residents can swim, work out, socialize and much more at Lakeside Landing, Elyson’s newest community center.

Resting on the shore of a scenic 31-acre lake, Lakeside Landing is the latest addition to Elyson’s vision to create more than 750 acres of parks, trails, recreational amenities, and natural open space within its 3,600-acre master plan.

Located just inside Elyson’s newest community entrance, at FM 529 and Elyson Village Drive, Lakeside Landing anchors a new phase of development that will include new neighborhoods, several new Katy ISD schools, and even more parks and lakes.

Lakeside Landing has two separate buildings with butterfly roofs and a blend of natural materials such as stone and timber. The relaxed style evolves the Katy Prairie architecture of Elyson’s first major amenity, Elyson House, which was completed before the first new home was sold in the community.

One building is nestled around a swim complex that includes a resort-style beach-entry pool surrounded by shade cabanas and shelf lounging chairs. A second pool has swimming lanes for exercise and practice.

One building at Lakeside Landing houses pool baths, changing rooms, and Elyson’s second major indoor fitness center.

It also offers Elyson’s third – and largest – fitness center, with a wide array of cardio machines, Peloton bikes, free weights, resistance training machines, and assorted accessories such as fitness balls and Pilates mats. The fitness center is almost completely enclosed by glass, offering inspiring lake and landscape views to help residents meet their goals.

(Elyson’s first fitness center is at Elyson House, and there’s an extensive outdoor fitness circuit at Elyson Commons at Bear Creek.)

Lakeside Landing’s second building houses several gathering areas designed to provide meeting space for Elyson’s growing number of resident clubs and groups. The flexible spaces include a fireside seating area, several conference tables of varying sizes, a catering kitchen and a kid’s play area.

Outside, Lakeside Landing is all about relaxed socializing, with butterfly rooflines of both buildings projecting out to shade walkways and multiple outdoor gathering areas. Outdoor ceiling fans help circulate the breezes coming in off the lake.

There are plenty of picnic and café tables, and a comfy outdoor sectional couch is arranged around a fireplace. The fireplace can be started with the touch of a button, as can the adjacent grill.

Other highlights of Lakeside Landing include a sand play area that doubles as a dinosaur dig, encouraging kids to explore for bones. There are several lawn areas where kids can play and parents can relax in Adirondack chairs.

Color is all around at Lakeside Landing, with features such as the splash pad and cistern tower bearing Elyson’s signature natural palette of blue, orange and varied earthtones. Tables, chairs, and awnings bring in more bright pops of color. A custom sculpture by Houston artist Damon Thomas adds more color with more than 50 bright red birds.

Lakeside Landing has parking for cars and bikes, and it’s connected to Elyson’s trail system, which will extend for more than 30 miles when completed.

A short trail also connects Lakeside Landing to Elyson’s new Model Home Village and Welcome Center, showcasing 14 fully furnished model homes. For a tour, stop by the Welcome Center.

Lakeside Landing is just the first new amenity to open in Elyson’s newest phase of growth. Kaleidoscope Park will open later this year, to be followed by even more parks, lakes and trail sections as Elyson continues to fulfill its vision. See the video tour here.
