Elyson is close to shopping convenience

When it comes to shopping – the good old brick-and-mortar style – Elyson residents have a big advantage: a location that offers the best of both Katy and Cy-Fair.

Located along the Grand Parkway, Elyson is approximately 8 miles from the Katy Freeway and just a little further to U.S. 290.

That makes Elyson very convenient to Katy shopping meccas such as LaCenterra and Katy Mills Mall in Katy. At the same time, Elyson is also close to Cy-Fair retail destinations like the Premium Outlet Malls.

We know you’ve got a lot of shopping to do, so here’s a quick guide to Elyson’s retail neighbors.

  • LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch is part of the family, since Cinco Ranch is Elyson’s sister community. Cinco Ranch is virtually completed, but you can enjoy LaCenterra more than ever. It boasts more than 75 shopping, dining, health and beauty storefronts. For a night out, the new Alamo Drafthouse dine-in cinema opens in the spring of 2018. From outdoor concerts and movies, to exercise classes and art displays, there’s always something fun (and free) to enjoy at Central Greek park in LaCenterra.

  • Katy Mills Mall was one of the first major outlet malls in the Houston region, and it’s still one of the best. At I-10 and Pin Oak Road, this Texas-size mall offers more than 175 stores, with a focus on high-fashion retailers including H&M, Kate Spade New York, Michael Kors and Neiman Marcus Last Call. Special events add to the fun shopping experience throughout the year.

  • Located at Grand Parkway and U.S. 290, Houston Premium Outlets offers 145 designer and brand-name stores, including Armani Outlet, Burberry, Mike and Tory Burch. This open-air, village-style mall has pedestrian courtyards and covered walkways for year-round shopping comfort.

These are the three biggies, and there are several more new shopping developments offering everything from gifts and groceries, to home furnishings and clothes near Elyson.

  • About six miles from Elyson, Grand Morton Town Center is an 85-acre development anchored by Kroger Marketplace and Walmart Supercenter. Additional stores include HomeGoods, Michael’s and Petco, along with a smorgasbord of fast casual restaurants. Full-service dining venues are planned in future phases.

  • Adjacent to the Houston Premium Outlets, Fairfield Town Center is an open-air lifestyle center with major tenants including H-E-B, Academy Sports + Outdoors, HomeGoods, Marshalls, Ulta and many more. Dining options include Zoe’s Kitchen, Chipotle, MOD Pizza and Pei Wei Asian diner. More stores will open in future phases.

  • Planned to open in early 2018, Katy Asian Town is located near the Grand Parkway and I-10, near the University of Houston’s planned Katy campus. It will be anchored by H Mart, a popular Korean grocery chain, with additional Asian specialty stores and restaurants.
