Highland Homes now selling Classic Series on Elyson’s largest homesites

Highland Homes is now selling its luxurious Classic Series in a new Elyson neighborhood surrounded by lakes, open green space and a new amenity called Elyson Courts.

Priced from the low $700Ks to over $1 million, the Classic Series features “hot off the press” plans on the largest homesites offered so far Elyson, measuring 80 feet wide by 145 feet deep on average. A select number of oversized and lakeview homesites are available.

For information, please contact Highland Homes sales counselors Cece Karnopp or Andrew Cavazos at 281-574-6478, or visit them in the Elyson Model Home Village.

The Classic Series offers 16 one- and two-story floor plans ranging from approximately 3,200 to 4,800 square feet.

One of the largest and most cohesive series of plans Highland has developed, the Classic Series at Elyson incorporates many of the latest refinements the builder learned from listening to their homebuyers.

“Many new homebuyer preferences have emerged since the pandemic, when so many people began spending much more time at home,” said Karnopp. “For example, we have started insulating interior walls for better soundproofing, so activity in the family room or game room won’t disturb a family member relaxing in bed or working in the study.”

Many of these small but meaningful tweaks result from Highland Homes co-founder Jean Ann Brock walking through a prototype of each new plan before it is released for sale. She makes note of any improvements that might help livability and sends them back to the company’s inhouse architecture team.

Highland’s Classic Series at Elyson is designed to appeal to a wide variety of home buyers. Home offices are included or available as options for all plans, and some plans offer optional planning centers next to the kitchen, and homework centers near upstairs bedrooms.

Many plans have downstairs guest bedroom suites with full baths, and many offer the option of expanding primary suites and secondary bedrooms.

These plans also take full advantage of their scenic setting in Elyson. Outdoor living areas are included in all plans, with options such as outdoor fireplaces and sliding patio doors to bring the outdoors in.

Outside, up to seven exterior styles are available for each plan, with architectural varieties such as French Country, Modern Farmhouse, Contemporary and more. All styles incorporate Highland’s architectural signatures such as high pitches for rooflines and gables, adding a decidedly upscale look to the exteriors.

Highland’s Classic Series is offered in a new Elyson neighborhood that wraps around one of the community’s scenic lakes, creating water view opportunities for many homesites. Other sides of the neighborhood are surrounded by open green space, and a new amenity called Elyson Courts is located at the neighborhood entry.

With two tennis courts and two pickleball courts, Elyson Courts will join a growing list of amenities at Elyson, including Lakeside Landing, a major community center opening this fall just south of the new Highland neighborhood. Nestled on the shore of a 31-acre lake. Other Elyson amenities include Elyson House, which offers a café, year-round swimming pool and tennis courts; and Elyson Commons at Bear Creek, a 145-acre park with sports fields, a dog park, outdoor fitness center and Wildflower Trail.

Overall, Elyson’s 3,642-acre master plan calls for more than 750 acres of parks and natural open space, including more than 30 miles of trails.

Elyson is located in the Katy Independent School District, ranked as the No. 1 Best School District in the Houston Area by Niche. Onsite schools include McElwain Elementary and Harmony School of Excellence, with Stockdick Junior High and Paetow High School just a few miles away. Katy ISD plans to open a new elementary school in August near Elyson, as part of a K-12 tri-campus that will also include a middle school and high school.

Elyson offers new homes priced from the $300Ks to over $1 million from eight leading homebuilders, with 18 model homes and the Elyson Welcome Center open in the Elyson Model Home Village.
