Houston Named A Top Buyer-friendly Real Estate Market For Homebuyers
Houston is the friendliest city for homebuyers in Texas, and among the Top 10 most buyer-friendly cities in the United States, according to a report from the real estate data firm Zillow.
Zillow analyzed housing markets in the 35 biggest metro areas in the U.S. for its buyer-friendly index. The analysis “shows how hot a region’s housing market is compared to others by analyzing sale-to-list price ratios, percentage of listings with a price cut, and how long homes stay on the market,” Zillow states.
Houston ranks No. 9 out of the 35 largest metro areas in the U.S. The median Houston home value was $205,500, and homes stayed on the market for an average of 89 days, the Zillow analysis found.
Some other major Texas cities fared well, but not nearly as well as Houston. San Antonio came in at No. 11 on the list, with Austin at No. 18, and Dallas-Fort Worth at No. 24.
Elyson is one of the most buyer-friendly communities in the Houston metro area, with new homes by best-in-class homebuilders in a wide variety of price ranges, from the low $200,000s to the $700,000s.
Some of Elyson’s newest offerings are affordable homes priced from the $200,000s by Chesmar, Westin and Pulte.
