Elyson welcomes our 3,000th family, and our halfway point to completion
Olayinka Oshundairo had no idea that her family would become the 3,000th homebuyers in Elyson, so getting the news and receiving a gift basket from the community’s developer, Brookfield Residential, was a very pleasant surprise.
It was love at first sight when Olayinka first visited Elyson. In fact, she chose the family’s new home, a Westin home with their signature curved staircase, on her initial visit.
“Elyson is such a beautiful community with very good schools,” she said. “It has grown so much, with so many choices for parks and shopping. At the same time, it feels like there is plenty of open space here. It is very peaceful.”
The Oshundairo family had just been living in Elyson for a couple of weeks when we talked to them, and they were already excited about discovering amenities such as Lakeside Landing.
“This wonderful amenity is just three minutes from our home. We can’t wait to begin using the pools and fitness center,” Olayinka says. “We have been doing a lot of sightseeing in Elyson and discovering that there is so much here to enjoy.”
She is also excited about the possibility of enrolling her son and daughter, ages 10 and 12, in Harmony School of Excellence – Katy, which has a K-12 campus in Elyson.
Elyson opened in 2016, and it seems like only yesterday that we welcomed our 1,000th homebuyer in 2020, and 2,000th homebuyer in 2022.
With the Oshundairos and other families pushing past 3,000 home sales, Elyson is right at the halfway point in our plan for approximately 6,000 single-family homes. The good news is, we have about 3,000 new homes still to be built, so there’s plenty of room for you. Explore our homefinder.
