Elyson among nation’s Top 50 master-planned communities for new-home sales
Elyson is one of the Top 50 master-planned communities in the United States for home sales in the first half of 2025, with 217 new homes sold from January through June.
That’s according to RCLCO, a national real estate consulting firm known for its annual and midyear lists of the top-selling MPCs in the nation.
Elyson has landed on these lists regularly for the past 6 years, as we’ve grown to more than 3,000 completed homes (half of our planned total) since our 2016 grand opening.
Top-rated Katy ISD schools, innovative recreational amenities and a growing lineup of new homes and builders are part of what’s drawing so many families to Elyson, and there’s plenty more on the way.
To go with our midyear ranking as a Top 50 MPC, here’s an update on everything we announced in the first half of 2025. The best part is, most of these exciting things are already open, or coming soon.
New schools
Elyson’s third onsite Katy ISD elementary school, Alfred & Ann Boudny Elementary, opened in August, showcasing some of the latest learning innovations and improvements from this No. 1 ranked school district.
Boudny Elementary joins other Katy ISD schools in Elyson including McElwain Elementary, Youngblood Elementary, Nelson Junior High and Freeman High.
The selection of private preschools in Elyson is also growing, with Amazing Explorers Academy opening this spring. Focusing on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math) and A.I., Amazing Explorers joins Kiddie Academy of Elyon, Magnolia Prep Academy and Kiddie Academy in offering onsite early learning.
New builders, more home choices
With 21 fully furnished model homes now open and 7 more coming soon, Elyson offers a Texas-sized selection of builders, styles and price ranges.
Toll Brothers is the newest addition to Elyson’s builder lineup, with plans to build 237 homes in three collections, in an enclave with many opportunities for lake, park and greenbelt views. Sales will start in early fall of 2025, with three new model homes opening in late 2025.
We’re also excited about a new neighborhood offering homes from the mid $300,000s by Brookfield Residential and David Weekley Homes. In the fall of 2025, these builders will open four fully furnished model homes in this neighborhood, surrounded by recreational amenities including a 64-acre lake and two parks.
Close to Elyson’s growing array of shopping choices, this will be our first neighborhood in Cy-Fair ISD, which has an overall A grade from Niche and is ranked as the No. 2 Best School District in Harris County.
New amenities
Elyson is adding several new parks in 2025, building on our vision for more than 750 acres of parks, trails, recreational amenities and natural open space by the time we’re completed.
Like all of Elyson’s amenities, each of these new parks has a distinct personality.
Speedway Park, opening in the fall of 2025, will be a thrilling new amenity for kids who love all kinds of wheels, with fun racetracks for scooters, hoverboards, skates and whatever the next craze is. This new park will also have play areas with swing sets, climbing structures and a grassy green.
Adventure Point, opening in late 2025, will live up to its name with contoured terrain where kids of all ages can climb rocks and ropes, clamber over boulders and shoot hoops. Surrounded by lakes, this new park will also have a pavilion and lawn for spontaneous activities such as exercise classes, concerts and birthday parties.
Ted Nelson Memorial Park will open in early September next to Boudny Elementary School, offering students and residents of all ages access to bright playscapes, colorful flowers and gathering spaces.
Named in honor of the longtime Houston leader of Elyson’s developer, Brookfield Residential, this park has an enclosed octagonal pit for gaga ball, a fast-paced, high-energy sport often described as a gentler version of dodgeball. Surrounded by large live oak trees, it also has an open lawn area, walking trail and butterfly garden.
New shopping
Elyson’s array of shopping, dining and services continues to grow, most recently with the addition of Elyson Town Center at the northwest corner of Grand Parkway and FM 529. Tenants already onboard include MilkShake Factory, Shipley Do-Nuts, Akashi Sushi, Smoothie King, DECA Dental, Noir Nail Bar, Haraz Coffee, Zesty Cleaners, Coco Crepes, Scent Hound, Boba tea House, Playa Bowls and Memorial Hermann.
Other recent openings at Elyson include EOS Fitness, Crust Pizza, Taco Cabana and Little Gym.
