2025 in review: a year of “more everything” at Elyson
2025 was another great year for Elyson, with us once again ranking on two prestigious lists of the best-selling master-planned communities in the nation.
With 413 new homes sold in 2025, Elyson cracked the national top 50 MPCs for the seventh year in a row. That included our 3,000th home sale since we opened in 2016, putting us over the halfway mark toward our vision of completing 6,000 single-family homes.
Beyond the numbers, here’s a look back of some of the most exciting things accomplished by Elyson and our partners in 2025. Combined with the ever-growing variety of new homes offered by our builders, they’re some of the top reasons so many families choose Elyson.
New school
Elyson got another onsite Katy ISD school with the opening of Alfred & Ann Boudny Elementary School in August. It’s our third Katy ISD elementary school, and the fourth including Harmony School of Excellence – Katy.
We got more exciting news in October, when Katy ISD was again ranked as the No. 1 Best School District in the Houston Area by Niche.
Another milestone was opening our first neighborhood in Cy-Fair ISD, offering new homes priced from the $300,000s. Elyson will have several neighborhoods in CFISD, but about 90% of our homes will be zoned to Katy ISD.
New parks
Elyson’s vision includes more than 750 acres devoted to recreational amenities, parks, trails and natural open space. We built on that promise in 2025 by opening Speedway Park, a thrilling new amenity for the scooter set, with a colorful racetrack, play areas and a grassy green.
We also began work on Adventure Point, offering varied terrain and natural play features that kids will love to explore. Opening in the spring of 2026, it will have a boardwalk trail and playground area with five feet of vertical change. It will have cushiony boulders, rock walls and ropes for climbing and clambering, along with a pavilion for parties and performances. Basketball will be another fun activity at Adventure Point, along with shady seating areas and pollinator gardens.
In addition to Adventure Point, new parks coming in 2026 include Ember Park, Crescent Park, The Social Yard and Waterside Cove.
New model homes
Elyson added 7 new model homes in 2025, bringing us to a grand total of 27 fully furnished model homes.
Brookfield Residential and David Weekley Homes each opened two new model homes in our first Cy-Fair ISD neighborhood, and Toll Brothers opened three new models in a lakeside enclave where they will build a total of 340 homes.
We ended the year on a high note, winning a 2025 Houston’s Best PRISM Award for Best Model Home Village from the Greater Houston Builders Association. Located next to the popular Lakeside Landing community center, the Village offers one-stop shopping for most of Elyson’s builders, with 13 model homes and the Elyson Welcome Center.
Other model homes are located throughout Elyson and are easy to find with our directional signage.
An eventful year
Resident events have always been a big part of the Elyson lifestyle, bringing neighbors of all ages together to share fun and new experiences.
Elyson residents enjoyed 27 major events and 12 Story Time readings for toddlers in 2025, according to Nicole Harris, the community’s full-time director of community engagement.
Some of the biggest events were Food Trucks & Fireworks on July 4, Tent or Treat for Halloween, Jolly Jingle Jamboree for the holidays, and the annual Back to Cool end of summer bash.
Elyson continued to give back in 2025, with a food drive for victims of the Hill Country floods in July. We also had three community blood drives..
More shopping and dining
So many new places to eat, shop and get services have opened in Elyson, we’ve added a new Shop & Dine page to our website.
Elyson has six onsite retail developments, including the new Elyson Town Center, which had signed more than 14 new businesses by the end of 2025, including Chipotle, now open.
With 190,000 square feet, Elyson Town Center is a village-style development that will have 11 commercial buildings on its 17.5-acre site. It is located at the northwest corner of Grand Parkway and FM 529, directly across from The Plaza at Elyson, anchored by Target and Burlington.
