Meet Elyson’s extended family
Elyson is the newest community in the Katy Independent School District, but it has deep family roots that go back more than a quarter-century in KISD and the greater Houston area.
Elyson is the fourth KISD community by Newland. Its siblings include the 8,100-acre Cinco Ranch community, which opened more than 25 years ago, in February, 1991.
Cinco Ranch has consistently ranked as one of the top-selling communities in the nation, and is projected to be built out by 2018.
Cinco Ranch ranks No. 2 in the Houston area and No. 9 statewide in Niche.com’s “2016 Best Places to Raise a Family in Texas” list. The study looked at factors like public schools (where Cinco Ranch received an A+), cost of living, number of child-age residents, and crime and safety.
Also in Katy ISD, Newland has completed the Seven Meadows and Grayson Lakes communities.
Other completed communities by Newland in the Houston area include Telfair, Summerwood, Eagle Springs and Greatwood.
Elyson is owned in a joint venture partnership between Newland and North America Sekisui House, Ltd. (NASH). Newland is the largest private developer of master-planned mixed-use communities in the United States, with more than 45 years of community development experience and with more than 40 communities currently under development in 14 states.
NASH is the U.S. business operations unit and a full subsidiary of Sekisui House Ltd., Japan’s largest homebuilder and a leading diversified developer since 1960.
